EVERY Fire Station needs a fireman and a fire bell!
Did you see my FIRE STATION post a few weeks ago?
The Before and After even got a very nice feature over on
Apartment Therapy
Well I purchased the
Bell
Fire Bell with Red Lanyard - 4.5 pounds
and
Fire Suit!
Aeromax Jr. Fire Fighter Suit with Helmet, Size 4/6 - Tan
Aren’t they adorable!!
The station is almost complete!
I also made a sign and added it to the bridge.
Here is what I used:
- An old cedar fence picket ~{$1 at Home Depot}
- cardboard letters~{ Hobby Lobby}
- craft paint
- silhouette cut outs.
{I used the same technique as my Farm Fresh Eggs sign.}
First I laid everything out for proper spacing and to make sure I didn’t need to cut the picket
I gave the picket a coat of white paint.
After the paint was dry, I traced all the letters and cut outs. Then I took a small brush and filled in with paint!
For my ‘fire’ I gave it 3 colors…
All traced and painted….took me less than an hour.
I purchased the fire emblem & flame in the Silhouette online store {99cents each}
Then typed the words FIRE DEPT. in the emblem and
cut it out on card stock.
Then on each end I used it as a stencil.
With a foam sponge I dabbed some white paint
and there you have it…….
a perfect addition to my son’s Fire Station!
Check out all the places I party!
Wow! What a great project. Lucky little boy! Found you on Tip Junkie.
