I painted the WORLD!

I'm madly in LOVE with this wall art!
This project took less than 2 hrs and $10!

What you need is a projector, pencil, paint and an image.
First I borrowed a projector from my hubby's work
or
Most public\college libraries will rent out the older projectors but you will need to use transparent paper with that style of projector.
See my older post about that technique HERE

I found a few images of world maps on the web. I hooked up the computer to the projector and projected my
favorite image on the wall
Use your pencil to trace.
This took about 10 mintues to trace...
Paint!
I outlined in paint first just to be sure I was gonna like it...
There might be a few extra islands.....
But hey I'm all about changing the WORLD!
Enjoy

Fantastic! I love it! More islands to hang out on -how cool is that? When I was a kid, my dad painted a jungle scene with acrylic paints on our front entry hall, (using a projector also) -it was AWESOME! Yet, he wasn't 100% pleased with it, so after a couple of months -he painted over it -ugh! Yeah that your family will get to enjoy yours for much longer!

That is a really neat use of a projector! I hadn't thought of it for tracing large images.

I work for a place that rents them out if anyone else is interested in trying this project: http://www.atsrentals.com/cat--Rent-Projectors--108.html
